ALL children received their back to school materials in September! School fees, books, bag, shoes, uniform, stationary and a head shave are all part of the package. There were lots of smiles and shouts of JOY. Huge thanks to all of you who enable this happen via our child sponsorship program!
If you follow our Facebook page or Instagram you will have seen that in September a new rule was made by the powers that be. No livestock where allowed to be kept in the city. This was a huge blow to our families and they were literally weeping in despair of what they were going to do. Our approach is not to tell them what to do or provide the answers, it is to sit with them and together come up with solutions. The solution on this occasion was to move them to a farm outside the city. This is a short term solution until the piglets are born and then we need to find a permanent solution. We have just bought the male pig and hoping for some pregnant pigs soon!
Another very exciting piece of news is that this month we welcomed our very first international team members! Jochem & Laura are from Holland and have come to work with YADA for 2 years through our mission – One Collective.

7. Finally please pray for Ezechiel, he is currently in Rwanda for a 10 day leadership course. He was successful in receiving a scholarship to complete a year long certificate which is online apart from 2 trips to Rwanda. Prayers for Nicola & children whilst he is away are also appreciated.
